Giant ice block baffles scientists
The chunk of ice that broke off the glacier last Thursday is headed for the Nares Strait, the shipping waterway between Greenland and Canada. It is the most significant event in the Arctic in nearly half a century. Scientists are scrambling to understand the implications of a giant piece of ice breaking off a glacier bordering Greenland.
