Thailand to extradite suspected arms smuggler

An appeal court in Thailand has ruled to extradite Viktor Bout to the US, a suspected Russian arms smuggler, ending a decade-long chase for the man nicknamed "the merchant of death". Bout, a 43-year-old former Soviet air force officer, has been accused of being one of the world's most prolific weapons dealers. Bout has allegedly supplied arms which fuelled civil wars in South America, the Middle East and Africa.
