Death by firing squad

Associated Press video: Convicted killer Ronnie Lee Gardner was sentenced to death by firing squad in Utah on Friday. Gardiner was sentenced in 1985 and requested the firing squad. Although firing squad has since been outlawed as a form of execution, the option was grandfathered for criminals like Gardner, who received their sentence prior to the firing squad being eliminated.
