Is the middle class an endangered species?
The New numbers from the census are grim
- 1-in-2 Americans - half the nation - are living in poverty or low-income lifestyles
- A survey of 29 mayors around America found that 1-in-4 Americans in need of food assistance did not receive any help.
- Since the banksters wrecked our economy three years ago - 4 million homes have been foreclosed on - and each year more than one-and-a-half million children ended up homeless.
An article says: "If wages were at their postwar average rate of 63 percent, workers would earn $740bn this year, about $5,000 per worker." Can you imagine what an extra 5,000 bucks would do to the average family falling out of the middle class? The money is there - but it's been transferred from the working class to the investing class. This is theft.
