Syrians "strike for dignity"

Anti-government protesters in Syria have called for a general strike to be observed across the country, in a bid to bring business in the country to a standstill in defiance against President Bashar al-Assad's government. Activists say they have called the act of civil disobedience in an attempt to keep their protest movement peaceful. The military, however, has reportedly attacked shops that were closed in observance of the strike. Al Jazeera's Zeina Khodr reports from Hatay, near the Turkey-Syria border.
