Canada hunts for answers on gun crime

Talks aimed at creating the world's first legally binding treaty on the arms trade are continuing in New York. The transfer of small arms kill millions of people every year. In Canada, there are almost as many guns per person as in America, but the country has a far lower rate of gun crime. Nonetheless, when it comes to violent crime, it seems there are two Canadas. One, in which, firearms are generally used responsibly and safely, and another, in which guns and gangs are part of a pattern of poverty, unemployment and a sense of exclusion. Al Jazeera's Daniel Lak reports from Toronto.
