Can the US compete with China on infrastructure?



President Obama recently gave his jobs speech, announcing a $450 billion plan. But to what extent will initiatives like an $80 billion infrastructure plan create jobs for some of the 14 million unemployed Americans? And how would this plan help the U.S. stack up with a country like China? The Economist's Ryan Avent weighs in.
