Mixed views on US withdrawal
The United States might have handed over reponsibility for combat duties in Iraq, however the American legacy is all too present. New statistics show that four hundred and twenty-six civilians and Iraqi security forces were killed in the last month alone. Iraq meanwhile still does not have a government for this crucial period of transition. Iraqis have mixed views on the withdrawal. While some welcome American troops leaving, others believe that their security forces are not ready to take over.
