Japan suffers nurse shortage
Japan needs more than fifteen thousand nurses, as the country faces an aging population, and the turnover among Japanese nurses in hospitals is high, as working conditions are very demanding. Hiring foreigners has also been challenging, as many have failed to pass the standard Japanese nursing examination.
