Bronx Zoo debuts lion cubs

The Wildlife Conservation Society introduced triplet lion cubs (two females, one male) yesterday at the Bronx Zoo's African Plains habitat. The triplets were born on January 27 to their mother Sukari and father M'wasi, who are their second litter. Their first cub, Moxie, was born two years ago and was the first cub born at the zoo in 31 years. Since being revealed to the public on Friday, the cubs have delighted many as they wrestle one another, nip at their father's tail and climb on their mother's back. The Bronx Zoo has also asked the public to help name the three new cubs. Wild lions live in sub-Saharan African grasslands. The zoo's African Plains habitat provides a natural representation.
