Every year, more than half a billion
dollars' worth of secondhand clothes are sent out of the United States,
and many of those items end up in developing countries. Yet few people know how their old clothes get to the needy. As
part of Al Jazeera's series "Rags to Riches", Tom Ackerman travelled to
Virginia to find out how one person's trash can be someone else's
treasure.
