South Sudan border region on edge
Any hope of a peaceful resolution to the problems of Upper Nile, a war-torn state on the border with north, has been laid to waste after a ceasefire accord signed between a rebel leader, George Athor, and the Southern Sudanese army crumbled. Some groups have surrendered to the army but others like Athor refuse.
