South Africa debates mine nationalization



South Africa's government says it has ruled out wholesale nationalization of the mining industry. President Jacob Zuma has promised there will be greater state intervention and possibly strategic nationalization of certain minerals. The African National Congress party will decide on how to get more out of the country's mineral wealth at its five yearly elective conference this week.
