GOP split by its own wedge issue
As President Obama and the Democrats prepare to move ahead with their proposed immigration reform, the Republican Party and its supporters are now split due to hardline anti-immigration forces, which support the new Arizona immigration law, who are at odds with moderate Republicans, who are being purged from the party, causing a rift. Karl Rove, President Bush's former chief political strategist, has questioned Arizona's law, as has South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham.
