Cleopatra's language dictionary published
If you have ever wanted to speak the language of Cleopatra, this might be your chance. After
40 years of research, the University of Chicago has published an online
Demotic dictionary - the language of ancient Egypt. Beyond
showing us how people spoke at the time, the dictionary also tells us
how people lived as far back as 650BC - for instance, some documents
show that women had the right to own land. Al Jazeera's Gerald Tan takes a look.
