Teabagger group trying to obstruct voters at polls
Democracy Now!:
Election Day 2012 has arrived, and the battle over voter suppression has
reached a fever pitch in battleground states. We go to Virginia, where
volunteers with the tea party-linked group True the Vote are challenging
voters at the polls. We speak with Brentin Mock, the lead reporter for
Voting Rights Watch 2012, a collaboration between The Nation magazine
and Colorlines.com. Mock also describes voter suppression efforts in
Florida, where True the Vote has also targeted alleged felon voters who
will be asked to submit a provisional ballot if they attempt to vote
today.
