Greenwald on voters 'disenchanted' with Obama

Glenn Greenwald, columnist for The Guardian, tells Al Jazeera's Ghida Fakhry that many of the voters who turned out in droves for Barack Obama, the incumbent, in the 2008 election now face disappointment with the president's first term. Greenwald said both candidates must remember that a voter has to be "very enthused about voting for your candidate", and unless either party can invigorate the masses the way Obama did in 2008, they me see a starkly different turnout than the previous US presidential cycle. For many, though Obama said he would reverse many of the unpopular policies of George W Bush, his predecessor, he has in fact "become worse" in terms of his foreign policy stances, Greenwald said.
