Three members of a Russian punk group are to face trial on Monday.
They have been officially charged with "hooliganism on the grounds of religious hatred".
The
charges were handed down after the trio made their way into a church
and burst into a so-called "punk prayer" criticising Russian President
Vladimir Putin.
Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse reports from Moscow.
Three young women who staged a punk-rock protest against President
Vladimir Putin in Moscow's main Orthodox church will go on trial in a
case seen as a test of Russia's tolerance of dissent.
Amnesty International's John Dalhuisen tells Al Jazeera why he thinks the trial process is flawed.
