The man who should and could be Toronto's mayor
Toronto Deputy Mayor Joe speaks about his love for Toronto and his contributions to building vibrant neighbourhoods through public-private community partnerships:
As City Councillor for the Trinity Spadina neighbourhood, Joe helped
• Revitalize the Trinity Community Recreation Centre facilities and provide green energy sources amidst a time of amalgamation budget cuts.
• Enhance Trinity Bellwoods Park into a beloved park enjoyed by residents, tourists and community groups.
• Nurtured the growth of Queen West into a vibrant arts and local retail scene
• Relocated the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art into the neighbourhood to better complement the busting arts community in Trinity Bellwoods.
• Facilitated ongoing construction and vitalization of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health into an innovative mixed use and environmental community space.
