Turkey prepares for referendum

Thirty years after Turkey's last and most brutal military coup, the country is preparing to face its past, with more then seventeen thousand extrajudicial killings, and more than fifteen hundred people still missing. The Turkish military granted itself immunity from prosecution, but one of the proposed constitutional amendments, included in the referendum on Sunday, lifts that protection. A survey in Turkey found that nearly six out of ten voters support constitutional changes proposed by the government. But, the poll also found that a considerable number remain undecided.
