Toronto Star video: The City of Toronto will be allocating two pedestrian zones this autumn, with one in the middle of Ryerson University at the intersection of
Victoria and Gould (slightly south of the "F"), and the other on
Willcocks Street (between St. George and Huron Street), which will be closed. It's a great concept which should be applauded, but of course leave it to our centrist/right-wing local media to downplay such initiatives from City Hall, as the Toronto Star's Christopher Hume certainly welcomes the proposal, but downplays the city's announcement by characterizing it as somewhat modest and saying that it is a step in the right direction.
